My research interests include, among other things, studies in social capital and voluntary participation, sport and physical activity, social inequality, and research methods.I am currently working on two projects. The first explores the consequences of body size (height and weight) on socio-economic attainment, and how these factors affect women and men differently. This research is being carried out at the Prairie Research Data Centre in Calgary. The second explores levels of sport and physical activity over time in Canada and the U.S., using data from the Multi-National Time Use Surveys (MTUS).
